"As Skate School Director for Alpine Ice my vision is to provide high quality learning opportunities for skaters of all ages and abilities in a fun and safe environment. I will endeavour to take into account the goals and holistic development of each skater.

My goal as Director is to run the Skate School in an efficient and viable way so all skaters learn the fundamentals of ice-skating at their own pace. I will strive to offer the highest quality programs possible through the provision of qualified and experienced coaches and the on-going evaluation of programs and staff. The Skate School will continually develop existing and also new programs where these are indicated.

My mission is to raise public awareness to and the profile of ice sports in Christchurch and to increase the numbers of participants in Alpine Ice programs; particularly figure skating. I will make myself available to help direct and to encourage skaters into their chosen ice-skating discipline."

Below are brief statements from each of our independent coaches. To view their full resumé or for other information, please contact the Skate School Director. Alpine Ice and Independent Coaches

It is most important to remember that Alpine Ice will only charge for ice time sessions, focus groups and off-ice sessions organised by the Alpine Ice Skate School.

All Private Coaching fees or Off-Ice classes run by other coaches are strictly a matter between parent/student and the independent coaching contractor and must be paid directly to them.

It is your responsibility to advise your coach if you are not going to be attending any of your private lesson sessions – you should check with your coach as to their procedures and it is not unreasonable to ask them to provide this information in writing.
